Literature Text

You want to die poetically.
No slitting of the wrists or poison for you.
Maybe spend your last few hundred bucks,
head to LA or Paris.
Die in a bathtub.
Die of an overdose.
Maybe at 27, or 4:20 or 11:11.
But where's the poetics in that?
Jim'd be laughing his ass off.
There's no poetics in death.
Only in the fact that the angel
wears a jacket from Dean.
The peotics lay in life.
Where you can flip off the police.
Flip off society for making you wish for death.
To stay long enough to
repay all those who cause strife.

Full Title :: A Late Night Conversation with Yourself about Death

"Now the body of one soul I adore wants to die
You have always told me you'd not live past 25
I say stay long enough to repay all who cause strife
"
- Alice In Chains [Sludge Factory]

Death's got a friendly face, this I know.
A smile like a gent and a drawl like a saint.

Not dying is the best revenge. :D

"Death's got a friendly face, this I know.
A smile like a gent and a drawl like a saint." Is this yours? You could write a whole other poem along that vein as well.
